Admissions Information
As of Fall 2023, we are pausing all new students as the board of school considers the future of the school.
Before completing your application form, please review the following admission requirements:
1. Program admission qualifications: Students that apply for our B.Div or B.Min program must hold a Secondary Degree/High School diploma. Those who do not come from a native English speaking country must pass the TOEFL Examination for study. For the MDiv programs, students must hold a bachelor degree with a recommendation from a church official Elder, Pastor or Deacon before being considered for review.
2. Church Membership: TCU requires all students to be communing members in good standing in a local church There are NO exceptions to this policy. Those not yet a member of a local church will need to postpone their application. TCU believes the local church to be God’s instrument for the discipleship and progressive sanctification of His people. The letter must be sent directly from the church officer to the seminary via email.
3. English Proficiency / TOEFL
The demonstration of English proficiency is required of all applicants for whom English is not their native language. Applicants demonstrate their proficiency in English by submitting satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) taken within two years of the date of application.
The required TOEFL scores are as follows:
All Bachelor/Master level programs
• TOEFL – iBT (internet based test) 88-89; CBT (computer based test) 230; PBT (paper based test) 575, TWE – 4.5 (a 30 minute writing test is required of everyone who takes the PBT)
